Christopher Pike’s journey from student-athlete to a leader in the field of physical therapy is a testament to his dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to excellence. A proud alumnus of Gannon University, Christopher earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sports and Exercise Science before completing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019. His time at Gannon was marked not only by academic success but also by an active role in campus life, particularly through athletics and leadership organizations.
As a five-year member of the Gannon University football team, Christopher experienced firsthand the camaraderie and resilience that sports instill in athletes. One of his most cherished memories was the electrifying moment when the campus rallied behind the football team as they secured a share of the PSAC West title in 2014. The walk from the rec center to McConnell Family Stadium, flanked by a sea of enthusiastic supporters, remains one of his most treasured experiences.
Beyond the field, Christopher was deeply involved in student leadership. As the President of the Campus Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Chair of the Conference SAAC, and the Division II National SAAC PSAC Representative, he played an instrumental role in advocating for student-athletes and enhancing their collegiate experience. His dedication extended into campus ministry, community service initiatives such as the Day of Caring, and celebrations like Celebrate Gannon, all of which enriched his time as a student.
After graduation, Christopher embarked on a career dedicated to helping others move, heal, and perform at their best. Today, he serves as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist at Warner Physical Therapy, a private practice in Oswego, where he also holds the position of Sports Director. His work focuses on treating a variety of orthopedic injuries, with a strong emphasis on athletes.
Christopher’s enthusiasm for sports extends beyond the clinic; he coaches high school football at his alma mater and officiates hockey at the high school, collegiate, and youth levels. He is an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a dedicated season ticket holder, proudly cheering on his team alongside his support for the New York Mets and the Buffalo Sabres. Outside of his professional and sporting endeavors, he enjoys taking his dog to Lake Ontario to watch the sunset and playing golf.
With a strong foundation built at Gannon University and an unwavering commitment to growth, Christopher envisions an exciting future ahead. In the next five years, he hopes to either manage or own his own physical therapy clinic, continuing to evolve as a professional and provide the highest level of care to his patients.
