Stacey Harring '99

BS in Science

Born and raised in Oil City, Pennsylvania, Stacey's path to military leadership began at Gannon University through ROTC, graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in General Science and Biology. Dr. Ropski, her academic advisor and favorite professor, provided guidance that transcended the classroom, instilling in Stacey the principles of leadership and service that would define her career.

Commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps in 1999, Stacey embarked on a military career distinguished by its breadth and depth. Over 23 years of service, she navigated various roles within both the active and reserve components, each assignment adding layers to her expertise in logistics and procurement. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to lead under pressure earned her respect and admiration.

Beyond her military duties, Stacey found fulfillment in her civilian career as a Supply Chain Program Manager at Northrop Grumman, where her strategic acumen and organizational prowess were instrumental in managing critical defense programs. Her dual roles as a military leader and a corporate executive underscored her versatility and capacity to thrive in complex environments.

Married to Marcus, a retired Colonel himself, they raised four children—Vince, Kelsey, Kevin, and Hadley—in Madison, Alabama. Stacey's volunteerism extended to leadership roles at the American Legion Post 229, guiding Girl Scout Troop 10329, and contributing to the vibrant community of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church.
As she reflected on her journey during the promotion ceremony, Stacey's thoughts turned to the future—a future where challenges awaited, yet she stood ready to confront them with the same determination that had propelled her thus far.

Her advice to Gannon students echoed the lessons she had learned: embrace the unexpected, remain steadfast in purpose, and never underestimate the impact of service.

In the years to come, Stacey Harring would continue to chart her course, and says that each time she thought of the next five years it wasn’t as expected. Her legacy, woven from dedication, integrity, and a profound love for her family and country, served as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her story.
