Welcome Week is an extended orientation designed to help you settle into campus, build connections with the Gannon community, find opportunities that match your interests, and develop a sense of belonging on Gannon's campus before classes start.
Welcome Week is aimed to be common yet customizable, letting you choose your own adventure throughout the week. Activities include social events local to Erie as well as meetings with your Gannon 101 group. You can look forward to kayaking on Presque Isle, taking a tour on Lake Erie on the Victorian Princess, attending an Erie SeaWolves baseball game, or other on campus activities such as yoga, crafts, laser tag and bumper cars.
Please see below for important or mandatory sessions of Welcome Week for new students. We also encourage you to download the and login to Gannon University with your Network ID and password to find a mobile friendly version of the whole Welcome Week schedule.
Friday, August 15 is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is a Holy Day of Obligation in the Roman Catholic Church.
For the convenience of all, Mass will be offered in the chapel at 12:05pm and 5:00pm.
Students and their families, Faculty, Staff, Community Members, and Guests are welcome to attend.
As a reminder, Gannon Welcome Week is mandatory for all first-year students including commuters, global students, and student-athletes.
